Rice Covered Pears

Rice Covered Pears

Ingredients

4 pears
250 ml white wine
2-3 tbsp sugar
1 cinnamon quill
250g short grain rice
500 ml milk
jam
vanilla or hot chocolate sauce

Directions

Peel the pears but keep the stems. Put the pears in a pot together with the white wine, sugar and cinnamon and add just enough water to slightly cover the pears. Cook the pears for about 10 minutes on low heat. Cook rice pudding from milk and rice. Once the pears have cooled down, cover them with jam and roll them in rice pudding until they are nicely covered with it. You can serve the rice pears together with vanilla or hot chocolate sauce.
